Nagoya Castle was constructed in 1609 by order of Tokugawa Ieyasu, one of Japan’s most famous generals of the Sengoku period. The castle keep, with its magnificent golden Shachihoko, offers a stunning view of Nagoya City.

Within the castle premises, there are beautiful gardens and historic buildings, and you can enjoy seasonal scenery. Plus, inside the keep, they offer exhibitions where you can learn about the history and culture of Nagoya, giving you a great impression.
