Hidanosato

Hida Folk Village (Hidanosato) is a museum that recreates traditional life in the Hida region.
You can see and learn the Hida’s lifestyle with a lot of nature through relocated houses and folk equipment.
Additionally, you can watch demonstrations of straw handcrafts and farming in the vegetable fields, and experience activities, such as Kumihimo (braided cord), painting Maneki-neko (beckoning cats), Hida Sashiko (traditional Japanese embroidery technique), and pottery making.
