“Gassho-style Village” is where over 100 traditional Gassho-style houses gather, and it is listed as a World Heritage Site.
Some people still live there while others are open to visitors and offer unique accommodations or house tours.
Flowers bloom on the mountain in spring, lush rice fields spread in summer, autumn leaves beautifully stand out in fall, and snow makes the scenery fantastical. In any seasons, it makes you want to take a stroll through and around the village with your camera in hand!
You can also enjoy staying in a traditional guest house and eating local cuisine, which will make your trip more satisfying.
